I know I've commented this pic before but ugh I just can't stop!
I swear I will never tire of looking at this painting. Sveltsye - wow, I mean
you're water color skills are just - wow - Hermione is just amazing in
so many ways - she shading on her hair, face and arms: gorgeous. Her
expression: unreplicable(ok that't not a word...oh well)
I just saw you're compilation of the JKR letter - and wow - it's AMAZING!
I'm not a frequent on the forums and I'm not even a SQ member (AAH!) but an SQ
at heart - my schedule's just too busy - so I didn't know about the letter till
today - oh well, too late:( I always wanted to write to JKR and tell her how
Harry Potter kept me sane when my brother was a toddler - HP stories and threats
that he was acting Dudley'ish kept him listening to me - too bad he's 7 now:(

| This is VERY good...Did you use watercolors?? If you did, I GREATLY admire you! With watercolor, I didn't have prayer of getting past flower-dots in sixth grade art. My only gripe at first with this was that Hermione looked very young, but then, I thought, she's not exactly a 50 year old at Hogwarts, and can't be more than 24-25 years old. You did amazing detail, and even if you didn't use watercolors, this is still great! (p.s. if it's not watercolor, is it chalk? didn't think so...) |

Wow. This is INCREDIBLE! When you said in your review that you'd painted a picture from Bury the Hatchet I got all excited, and when I saw this I was just in AWE. Hermione's expression is perfect, and I love your use of colours. Amazing work, it's like you took this scene right from my head and painted it ^_^

This is so f*cking beautiful! They look like real people that I could sit and watch. Listening to music pay as they spin around. She's laughing because of something he said in her ear. He is inwardly pleased that she enjoyed his joke. I could go on ranting about silly stuff that I can imagin are occuring at this moment.
It nearly brings tears to my eyes. It is just so beautiful. There is only one thing I would change and that would be Ron's hair. It's a bit too red. Maybe with more of an orange tint it would be more imaginable (spelling?). Other then that everything is perfect. Great job! Keep up the good work!

I think this is definitely one of your best pics here! Though there are some close rivals... Still, this makes TWO pictures of yours that have inspired me to go read the fics they came from. Of course, I'm only on about chapter five of it so far, but I'm workin on it! Did I mention how beautiful this is yet? THIS IS BEAUTIFUL! I love Hermione's face! I cannot believe how detailed and lifelike you made this. With WATERCOLORS. My watercolors are... scary. To say the least. I must admit that isn't how I pictured Hermione's face, but it is so detailed and beautiful and awesome, I completely forgive you one hundred times over! Then again, I just realized this could be older Hermione. Smart. Sorry.

I suppose Ron's hair is a little too red too be realistic, but I kind of like it that way. I guess it's a stylistic thing. It kind of heightens the other colors, IMO. Of course, I didn't plan it that way ^_^. Maybe I'm just trying to make excuses, who knows ;)...

(j/k, don't you love my humility) No, Ron's hair is not too red it's the PERFECT shade---the shade his face turns when Hermione kisses him! I just thought of one constructive criticism - I agree with Dina C. - I think Ron's hair seems a bit too red and artificial.
But, I can't stop staring at Hermione - her face and expression is just SO BEAUTIFUL!

I can see that you have amazing skill at watercolors. You colors are very rich and hte contrast between dark and light is excellent. I love the composition and the color scheme is so unique. It's perfect - you've captured the moment perfectly and you deserve to be commended.
This is beautiful. What size paper did you do it on? You should definately hang this up somewhere where people can see and admire it. |

Very nice! Watercolor can be a difficult medium to work with, so a lot of artists shy away from it. I'm glad that you've mastered the wet stuff so you could treat us to this wonderful picture!
The dreamy "blobbiness" of the paint is perfect for this kind of scene. |

Wow. This picture is AMAZING. It's really really beautiful. I can't believe you did this all with water colors! I'm really impressed. I love the expression on Hermione's face; she looks radiant and glowing with love and affection. So perfect. The only thing that's a little off is Ron's hair, but even then, it's just the color seems a little too red (if you know what I mean) and still, he looks fine, too red of hair or not.
I'm adding this to my list of favorite Hermione/Ron pictures! It's really beautiful and I applaud you on your talents.
