I'm very impressed with this. I never thought of it like that before. That Peter would have to betray his friends to save others. You did a very good job.

I'm glad you got tired of Peter as a bad guy; you masterfully metamorphosed him to the evil rat we know him to be in canon. Thanks for nice read. Keep writing.

I'm not sure if I believe the idea that Peter was as faultless as he seems in this story. However, I think your fic presents an interesting alternative to Evil!Peter. I, like you, don't like how he is often portrayed in fan fic. He was a Gryffindor and a close friend of James, and people tend to forget or ignore that. I'm glad you didn't. I liked that Peter was friendly with Trelawney. Creative use of her first prediction! Nice work.

Interesting... Peter's betrayal as part of a grander scheme. You paint Wormtail as a hero from the beginning this way. I wonder, though, given this scheme, why Peter would aid Voldemort post-PoA, given your scenario?
To be honest, if Trelawney had said that Harry would DESTROY Voldie, then I see motivation for Peter to continue to aid Voldemort until there was an opportunity for Harry to DESTROY him.
Still, it's an interesting picture - I would like to see its conclusion. |

Oh, my God - what a truly brilliant story. Very moving. And poor Peter. This is definitely one of the best, if not THE best, "why-Peter-betrayed-the-Potters" fic I have EVER read. Please, please write more of this.
