[his friend and workmate Modwin Banks appeared to have a halo, one he definitely did not deserve.] Great phrasing. I love the image and the humor.
["My God," she whispered, "they're so beautiful." And then the Welsh Green set a tree on fire.] Nice comic timing there.
You do an excellent job developing Charlie's character. You really have a sense of what he's like. I liked the name for his owl, that was a good touch.
The romance developing between Charlie and Ingrid was very well done. There's a hint of awkwardness and ease around each other. You can see that they get along and have a connection, but there's a maturity to their budding relationship that one would expect from people their age. Your characters are very well developed and I really feel that they could be real people instead of fabrications. Nice job! |

| You do have a knack for letting characters tell their own stories, in dialogue and thought, even while they do their own character development. Nice show again! I like how Charlie acts on his idea immediately at the end there--it's not impulsiveness, it's knowing what to do and being able to do it instantly, without second-guessing himself. It's a great quality for working with dragons--or with dragon handlers! |

| you're a one, eurydice, you really are. ("i know," eurydice responded). this is such a great little story! you have a knack for credible dialogue, and you keep the pace moving. you've also covered a number of topics (charlie's years at hogwarts, his history w. modwin, his r'ship w. ingrid, harry's place in the weasley family, norbert, ingrid's history in roem, dragon "facts"...) in a short space, in a believeable way. three cheers for eurydice! |
