Beautiful little story--very cathartic. I've always thought of Sirius as being the one--of all Remus's friends--who was most responsible for making the difficulties in Remus's life easier to bear. You made that point quite clearly, and in a new way, by having Remus not being allowed to apparate and Sirius choosing to join Remus when he had to travel by Underground as a result.
I like the detail about the dog's eye color being the only thing to stop Remus from contacting the MoM. It not only establishes, in a very concise way, that Snuffles looks almost identical to Padfoot, but it also establishes how Remus would feel if Sirius were to escape. He'd turn him in in a heartbeat.
But the best part of all is the ending. Remus realizes that he is finally beginning to heal, and he wishes he wouldn't. "...after all, the pain was the only thing he had left of his friends, of his youth and of his past."
After reading OotP, I can use all the cathartic stories I can get. Thank you for sharing. |

| I liked this story. It is an interesting idea how Remus meets up with Sirius in his Anagmus form on the Underground. Awesome job! |
