Oh, beautiful! Very touching. It's great to read Moony's thoughts about his pack and particularly Padfoot, and then Lupin's thought about Sirius.
"Lupin hurried toward him, for the first time in many, many years allowing a true smile to break across his face." I love this sentence. It is excellent. There's no better end for this story. |

Oh. Ooh. I love that I can read this as either a pre-page 806 or post-page 806 story and it works as well either way. In another sense, it's so timeless that it doesn't matter. Sirius will always be there for Lupin, whether physically or not.
I also liked that your title was not just a line from your story, but a part of the fic as a whole. As Lupin moves from night to day, he moves from despair to enlightened renewal. It's lovely. Thanks for writing. |

| Bittersweet, knowing how it all must end. But's it's nice to think that, in that one moment, Remus thought it all might end well. Kudos. |
