Trust Snape to compliment Neville and then get angry that his skills are improving! A good portrayal of the dreaded Potions master.
I think Snape would not have started cutting the venomleaf *after* he heard the crash. I also would think the greasy old git would've done more than just made Neville stand there. If Neville had been forced to to, say, hold the jar, I think his DADA skills would have been even more impressive.
Imagine how POed Snape would be if Neville had actually saved him from the troll! Enough to owe his life to James Potter, but *Longbottom* ??? :)
Well done. |

| Well written. It feels like you are going somewhere and we are in the middle. Hopefully there will be more! |

Hmm,
What is the Potion Master going to do with that jar, and don't you just know that Harry will be the one to find it.
Excellent Neville and Snape.
Snape is not a fool and he will see these students develop and will see past their childish deceptions. You have explored this well.

| Very Nice! I loved the way you portrayed Neville, especially since you made him out to be good at something, herbology, and to be improving at Defense. Heh, the ending is great too, he has definately been practising... |
