Well, I've finally managed to read something of yours, and I think this is excellent! Dumbledore's thoughts are completely believable, and his speech and that of the centaurs ring very true. Your writing flows beautifully, and I'm looking forward to more sometime.

Well, you packed a lot to think about into a few words! I like the suggestion that rescuing Umbridge is secondary to what Dumbledore is thinking about. He does what he has to do, and he means what he says, and he says the right things to get the job done. But all along he is really more concerned about Harry, and about the future. The thoughts and concerns you give Dumbledore ring very true, and give us all some things to think about. How much is too much? Will there be a breaking point?

After reading your last paragraph, I wonder about Albus's defeat of the dark wizard Grindewald in 1945. Perhaps Albus didn't go through as much as Harry is, leading up to that battle.

Thanks for a story to make me think!

Very nice insiteful Dumbledore missing moment. Wonder what Umbridge's reaction was when she woke up?

Thanks for a much needed exploration into the impossibly complex mind of everyone's favourite Headmaster, and for portraying him so truly. You wrote this so beautifully! Hope to read more from you soon.
