I liked the countdown a lot, and the idea that she didn't stay long enough... :)
but...a chimaera? isn't that a bit much? there are much less harmful animals that could have given Lily a scare. It just seems slightly inappropriate that she's fighting such a terrifying animal and surviving, after such a short walk into the forest. (i wouldn't have thought ten minutes could get you anywhere, really...)
still, had good parts!
