[Hullo Hagrid, That bloody hell-hound tried to eat me! When you gonna do somethin' 'bout him?] *snert* I love your inclusion of the trolls and an entire language for them. I also love how Hagrid speaks troll.
I also like the attention to detail of having Fluffy only eat enough for one stomach.
[it became clear the huge Cerberian Mastiff was using his tongues far more extensively than he was his teeth.] Nice phrasing here rather than saying Fang was licking/slobbering/drooling etc. all over Hagrid.
[old lullaby his dad had whistled to him when, as a tyke] Awww, very sweet. It's enough of a glimpse into Hagrid's past to give us an emotional connection to him, yet you don't make the moment turn all soppy and heart-wrenching.
Great premise for a story! There aren't enough Hagrid stories out there and you do a beautiful job with him. I hate it when authors turn Hagrid into this bumbling, drunk buffoon. He's loyal and hard working and realy good with animals and you really show that in this piece. |

| Well done! I like the interaction between Dumbledore and Hagrid. That rings true, to me. You've also done a nice job showing Hagrid interacting with both the troll and with Fluffy. |

| I enjoyed this missing moment from PS. Cerberian Mastiff is a perfect name for Fluffy's breed and it never occured to me you'd made it up. Likewise I thought Gra-el-moak was a good forest troll name. Great job and thanks for sharing it with us :) |
