HAHA! WHAT A REWARDING PIECE OF FLUFF!!!!! I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THESE LAST PARTS:
They sat in silence for some time, before James' irrepressible good humor resurfaced. "Okay, let me get this straight," James said, grinning, before clearing his throat. "Girls in black dresses with long auburn tresses…"
Lily burst out laughing then quieted so as not to wake Harry. She followed his lead. "Wizards with black hair and oversize glasses," she sang softly as she reached up to stroke his cheek.
James thought for a minute, then grinned wickedly. "Mad dogs and werewolves who howl at the moon…."
"Well, not quite a rhyme, but definitely some of my favorite things," Lily laughed. She looked tenderly at him before singing softly once more.
BEAUTIFUL. I may have even had tears in my eyes. |

| One of my favourite songs from my childhood. I love that movie and I love how you used it here. Great insert of Moony and Padfoot. |

| Aw what a cute story! Poor James and Lily, I'm glad that they were able to have moments like those before they died! Wonderful take on their preparations, and how you incorporated the song, brilliant job! I loved it! Also World War II being Dumbledore defeating Grindelwald, good twist! Loved it! |

| Very nicely done. I often think that Lily is a singer, and that she would sing songs from her Muggle childhood. This was a great moment, and the parallel was well managed, even if it _was_ fluffy. Good job on the characterisation, too. |

| You always leave such nice reviews of my stories, I couldn't believe I'd never reviewed anything of yours! I love the way you've threaded together Lily's Muggle heritage with their having to hide from Voldemort. Poignant and sweet--very nice! |

| ^_^ If I was you I'd have James include in his made-up line something about Peter too, but then that'd be so ironic-ish it'd hurt, so whatever. Oh, if only Peter had been wandering about as a rat and McGonagall was snooping around in her cat form and she ate Peter. Then... there'd be no story, and we'd never have met any of the characters, so whatever. |

| That was sweet. I especially loved when James asked if the song worked, taking her mind off things and Lily said "in the film it does"... and I loved the reference to Sirius and Lupin. Keep writing! |

| Beautiful! This was a wonderfully fluffy little fic, but with enough of a serious undertone (no pun intended) to keep it from becoming maudlin. Fabulous job! |

| I normally steer clear of songfics, but I'm so thankful that I stopped and read yours. It's simply charming. James and Lily's conversation is playful, and yet hints at the dangers to come. |

Oh, wow! Clever, and lovely - I wish there'd been more of it. 'When Dumbledore defeated Grindelwald' - brilliant! - I wish we knew more about that. I love all the affection, too! Well done indeed.

Ok.. so I thought what the hell I'll read it.. how angsty could it be? Damn it.. maybe I had a bad day.. but you made me cry. If that's the reaction you were looking for you got it from me. Very good, I liked it despite the tears (or maybe because of them?). |

| Oh, I love The Sound of Music. When I was 9 it played at the 50 cent theater and I think we went about a dozen times. This was a very satisfying songfic! And thanks loads for dumping the song in my brain now... |

| This was really great. I have my own series of song paradies, and this one is just perfect. I was wondering if you would license me to complete lily and Jame's parady of the song? It would work so well, and i would make it rhyme. The initial thought would of course be credited to you. I only asked you here because you don't have your email posted. I loved the story, and it would make a great filk. |

Wow, I love this song! I never did get why they play it all the time on the holiday music stations- not exactly a holiday song, is is? I loved the: "Girls in black dresses with long auburn tresses… Wizards with black hair and oversize glasses." Great job! Margaret |
