| That was beautiful- what a horrible childhood Sirius and Regulus had- somehow very in keeping with the people they became- or didn’t in Regulus’ case. Excellent characterizations. Well done. |

| Let me preface by saying that the idea of a Remus/Sirius ship does not ring true for me personally. However, your story is very well done. It explores feelings that go beyond the limitations of sexuality -- feelings that we all can relate to and that we all grapple with: life, death, fear of the unknown, regret, grief... Your writing flows in a compelling manner. I feel myself taken along with the characters to a place I am not sure I want to visit -- as in "the shatter and splash in the otherwise silent room sent a spear of cold through her heart". We are being led, a bit reluctantly, to a place we need to visit, and to feelings we need to confront. I very much like the issues of Lily dealing with James' love for Sirius. Nicely done. |

I absolutely love your characterization of Sirius. It's very different, but I think it's spot-on. This is another wonderful story. Well done!

No, it was not. It was derived from the saying "blood is thicker than water". The prequel to this story is called "Thicker Than Blood", so I thought the title made a certain amount of sense. |
