Well done! I love to find fics where Percy isn't some one-diminsional jerk, but someone fully fleshed out with real feelings and struggles. You do that beautifully. The description of the tree and the forest and all the memories of childhood play are gorgeous.
And I completely agree with your sentiments about Ginny and her place as the sibling who understands Percy best.
Thanks - this was a pleasure. |

Oh, Laura! It's beautiful!
I love your Percy and Ginny. That's the fist time it's seemed natural to me for someone to call Ginny 'Gin'. Even straight-laced Percy, because he was a kid once, too, and they all had to have had nicknames for each other.
Thank you for writing this, Laura! It's my second favorite after Thoughts of a Professor.
You put all the details in from canon, and you captured the character's personalities perfectly. I can easily see Percy becoming sentimental and going out to an old Weasley hiding place to think.
Great, great job!
Jules, proud to be your Big Sis! |

| Oh, wow! That's really, really beautiful. Ginny was dead-on, and I'm glad that it was she who found Percy. Well done! |

| Oh, I wish you hadn't ended just there. I can just see Molly running toward him, tears streaking down her cheeks... Very nice. |
