| I really enjoyed reading these chapters. They're written beautifully, I envy your picturesque writing style. I love the idea that Fawkes chooses who he will be loyal to, and it's a nice touch that he's apparently in on the founding of Hogwarts from the beginning. You're laying the foundation for a wonderful adventure! |

This is one of the best founder fic's I have ever read. Brilliantly written, and you've clearly thought long and hard about the backstory of each of your characters. I have to ask, what happened to Robyn? I look forward eagerly to the next part

I love to read a well-written Founders fic, especially one that delves into their possible past. You've written much more than that - you've created a character. Based only on the little information given in Canon as to his character, you've managed to come up with a totally believable back-story to Gryffindor. Your throurough grasp of descriptive narrative and your use of devices makes for a wonderful read. I could almost spell the smoke!

| Wow, what a wonderful start! How you came to imagine the life of someone who I can't even remember being mentioned very much in the books - with so little to go on - is beyond me. But I'm glad you did, because it sounds like it's only going to get better and better. I'm definitely looking forward to reading more! |
