The flashbacks were a little confusing at first, especially the switch between italic text and normal text, but once I got past that visual barrier, I really enjoyed this story. It's a nice little speculation on how the cup came into Helga's possession and what its importance might be. I also liked your characterisation of the four Founders, even though I was a bit thrown by Godric quoting a Beatitude. It was a nice little nod to Helga's ideals, though. It would be great to see a story about Slytherin's locket.
