Molly is one of my favorite characters and you've written her very succinctly. Her story is a sad one and I'm glad she is so willing to add Harry and Hermione to the Weasley family gatherings since it seems to help her cope with her own sense of loss. Harry, especially, needs to know what a real family feels like and he is really lucky to have a friend whose mum is willing to give him house room and a sense of what home should feel like. Nicely done.

This is wonderful! I adore Mrs. Weasley and this is a lovely, poignant bit of characterization for her.

This is some great insight on Molly's family. I've always wondered the history of her brothers since we find out about them in OotP. It makes sense that having lost family, her own is even more important. It even goes a long way to explain her protective attitude, especially that part of GoF after the World Cup and the twins. I also loved Molly's insight about Harry, and the last paragraph was also touching.

I enjoyed your one-shot. Your characterization of Molly sounds just like my Mom - she always loves having everyone back at home so much. You could definitely add more background to your story - you make the reader want to learn more. I liked this sentence: "Fred and George were only just walking, and everything they could reach went either into their mouths or into somewhere that it shouldn’t go, like into the cat’s mouth."

I enjoyed reading that. A perfect thing to do when you have 2 minutes in the morning between having a granola bar and rushing out the door.
