Aww. I'm so sorry to hear that your mother died. I hope she had a happy life. It's good that she liked Harry, too.
I liked the bits about Dumbledore's socks. When you read about Dumbles leaving Harry some possesions, you would except, oh, maybe Gryffindor's sword, the Pensieve, etc, etc. But, he left Harry his lemon drops and his SOX. That's a beast.
I felt really bad for Harry, though, going through that memory over and over again. But it's good that he could finally get out of the house, and do something productive.
