Thanks for writing this. I love when the older girl says: "We are not a house. We are a family." And the speaker 'gets it' right away. Which means the Hat has chosen correctly once again.

I really loved your story! It gives a very rare POV within the House of Hufflepuff. I really liked this line: "But you will find that we make quieter heroes. We are the healers and the mothers and the comforters in this war, and all the time."

Two bits of criticism - I would have preferred the text as plain, not bolded - easier on the eyes, and I would have loved to see references to canon Hufflepuffs woven into the storyline.
