I quite enjoyed. Thanks.
Your ideas on Snape, however, are considerably different than mine.

Okay, I'll admit I'm a bit biased since I read this one in progress and made a few suggestions. April, you know I really liked this one and why. It's got everything a good story needs: atmosphere, mystery, emotion, suspense, moral gray areas...and an ending that leaves you pondering for hours. Assuming everything Snape says in this story is true, should Lupin forgive him? Should anyone? Is Snape truly repentant for that matter, or is he only sorry that he got caught? Is it ever too late for redemption as long as a person lives? And will Lupin ever decide whether or not he can forgive Snape, or will he die before he makes up his mind?

One of the things I liked best was the brief mention of Mundungus Fletcher. Sad how he met his end, especially when he was the only one to give Snape the benefit of the doubt. Yet Dung was not an innocent victim, since he was on the run from the Ministry because he was wanted for theft. I'd love to see a prequel to this story, focusing on Snape's trial and the events leading up to it.

Good job!

I loved this. Of course, anything with Latin in it is classy, especially if it's Snape saying the Latin!

I thought this was structured excellently. The information is parcelled out very carefully, and the supense builds the whole way through. I hate Snape and pity him at the same time by the end. The malice behind all of his actions are chilling, but his cry for redemtion is heartbreaking. Beautifully done!

An intriguing and sad story! I, like Remus, have mixed feelings that Snape was unable to receive some sort of absolution for his sins. Good job.

Mwa-ha-ha! Sounds good. Keep it up. I like reading about what happens to peripheral characters years after. Glad Remus and Sproutie and Lockhart survived. And my heart goes out to the Longbottoms the way you've drawn them.
