This is a charming story. I've seen your name before but hadn't read any of your stories.
Obviously we see Molly alike if your concept of her patronus is a hen.

~Ground. He’d never realized that was where all those cords went to. No wonder the outlets were so close to the floor.~ HA! You've captured Arthur's character and voice perfectly. I love how he sneaks around to tinker with those Muggle inventions. And digging the hole in the garden for the cord? So funny! Well Done! Thanks for an enjoyable read! |

I love the characterisation in this one shot - the interation between Arthur and Molly is spot-on and I *love* this image of the twins:
~Fred and George popped their vertically-stacked heads into the doorway.
Even though Ginny's appearance is brief, it's completely in character - pushing past the twins and asking a very direct question!
The first time I read this story, I was on pins dreading what would happen if Arthur got as far as trying to switch on the light! This version retains that build-up of suspense yet seems slightly clearer and the pacing is perfect.
A really enjoyable story - now will we be getting that first Lily and James chapter soon? |

| *snicker* That was cute! Poor Arthur, he really doesn't have a clue, but his heart is in the right place. And the kids, hee hee hee! Well done, amusing little ficlet. |

"No wonder the outlets were so close to the floor." That line made me laugh out loud.
Lovely glimpse of Arthur's obsession. |

Oh what fun story - Arthur with his innocent hobby and enthusiasm.
~~If Molly could see it working, well, he knew she’d like it. ~~ LOL - hope springs eternal for Arthur!
~~He tiptoed into the back yard, suddenly alive in this stolen moment of freewheeling fun and the prospect of seeing the lamp aglow. ~~
I love this line - you can see where F&G and Ginny get their since of mischief!
And Molly last line is so much like OotP when she loses it about stitches. Too cute. You really captured everyone's character in this short piece. |
