Short and sweet - and the pun was most certainly intended. A nice look at Lily and James warming up to one another, not least due to the fact that it's very well characterised.

| This was very sweet! Oh, the story, not the cake. But the cake too, probably. Especially since you described it so wonderfully. And Lily showing that she can be a match for James' arrogance. And the sweet surprise at the end, showing that he's not holding a grudge, and he's actually doing something thoughtful. Makes me want to search the cupboard for cake mix. Good story, well done! |

| I think I read this elsewhere, but it was worth rereading. You balance Lily's feelings-- that love-hate- stage -- so well. James is such an imp, but you can't hate him. |
