I found this very engaging. The McFusty clan has intrigued me since I first read about them in Fantastic Beasts, although I admit that I maligned their image by implying in the first chapter of 'Childhood's End' that the clan head of Minerva McGonagall's youth was constantly 'on the sauce'. (Barty Crouch was just a kid himself back then and would not have had a thing to say about it.)
Love the term 'dragon-spotting', as in 'how's about a picnic by the bay and a bit of dragon-spotting, m'dear?' And Isobel christening the old dragon Minerva. Her reason was hilarious.
Love the subtle lessons in brooding dragon behavior and physiology, reminiscent of 'The Flight of Dragons' or the 'Pern' books, but completely original.
Wish this could become a full length. Isobel and her family have great potential as strong characters worthy of empathy, and her humor is both entertaining and incisive.
The ending sounds just like Crouch, Sr. and the Ministerial bureaucracy. Just present pompous slurs in an omniscient tone of voice for the press to regurgitate and move on to the next problem before anyone has the wit to question you----no need to listen to anyone else's story. |

| Excellent descriptions and very believable. I want to know more, especially in relation to Sirius. |

| This was a good story about stirring up trouble among wizards. I liked the introduction of new wizard blood and how being a pureblood didn't matter if you were different. Again, good job! |
