I found this story on the list of Phoenix contest winners. I really liked it. Draco does seem to relate to people as followers, and clients rather than as friends. I like the irony of Draco acusing Neville of having no friends when Draco himself appears to have no real friends of his own only sycophants. The description of Neville's debacle was well paced, never got confusing and sympathetic. I like Neville's responce to Draco's conversation -- confusion because Draco's line of thinking is so alien to him.
This was an enjoyable story. |

How nice, A very enjoyable story about Neville and a very unnicely Draco Malfoy. What a very enjoyable read and a very nice ending with Neville finally realizing that Ron,Harry,Hermione and even Ginny are his real friends. Very nicely done. |

<i>"Harry taught me those spells in the DA, before you came and ruined it all,"</i>Go, Neville!
I don't know if that's my favorite part, or if it's the last sentence, which is really, really good. It made me grin. :) |

(1st reviewer, yeah!) I loved this story! It reminded me how neville is often compaired with peter, but how neville is so much stronger. after OotP Neville has really started to become one of my favorite charicters and you capture why perfectly. he's not that little first year anymore. Keep Writting, and I'll keep reading!Great Job!! ~Megan13~ |
