When I first read this, I thought you were writing of Peter's death, how he supported his friends after returning to them. Then I realized your story was about when Voldemort was able to mentally reach Sirius.
Your descriptions are very detailed and held my attention. I imagine these are Sirius's awful memories of his years of captivity. Good job! (I'm also a big fan of Robin/Robin4.)
