This is very touching... It's very sweet, and most of it is in-character.

"And I'll also have my parents watching over me."

I like that, but what I think could have been even more touching would be replacing 'also' with 'always'. The also is only necessary if you don't have another word there, and it seems slightly more dramatic.

But I liked this. It's very good. Keep writing!
