[Dudley Goes to Hogwarts]

I should have known not to try to eat everything insight. But it was fudge, my favorite. And now here I am in the middle of a dark forest. I can hear something coming closer. There in fr..front of me is a.. a giant! Wait, he looks familiar, like the one who picked up Harry, the one who gave me a tail. Oh no, he's talking to me.

"You're not Harry. You're that cousin of his, Dirty, right?"

"Why are you here?"

Before I could answer, there was rustling in the bushes and an insect that looked like a bee flew straight at me! It stung me and I started to float in the air. The giant, what was his name, oh yes, Hagrid was laughing like it was the funniest thing in the world.

" What's wrong with you?" I shouted. "Help me!"

"Sorry mate, but being stung by a billywig is funny and I haven't laughed in a long time. If you'll follow me, I'll take you up to the school 'cause if the portkey worked on you, you'll be able to enter."

"What is a portkey?" I felt like I was in another country, complete with its own language.

"The fudge. In the wizardin' world, if you grab one end of a portkey at the right moment, it will take you to another place."

"Oh," I said, even though I didn't really understand.

"Speaking of the fudge, how did you get it?"

"It was outside Harry's room."

"So you just thought you could eat it, even though it wasn't yours."

"Of course."

"You've got to learn that everything of Harry's ain't automatically yours."

"I'm beginning to see that. What's this school you're talking about?"

"Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, o' course. Come on now, Madame Pomfrey can help you."

"Who is that?"

"The nurse at the school."

"Is she a w...witch? Because I don't think, I want......"

"Quit your whinin', you got yourself in this mess. I got to get you back on the ground so I can get you out of here and get Harry in here."

When we reached the school, we were greeted by an old man with a long white beard.

"Hello, Dudley. Hagrid, you will want to take him to Poppy."

"Yes, sir."

"Wait a minute, who are you and how did you know my name?" I asked suspiciously.

"I am Albus Dumbledore, the headmaster here at Hogwarts. I know your name because I check up on Harry from time to time."

Just then Hagrid broke in impatiently, "Come on Dudley, I got more to do than babysit a rotten muggle like you. I ain't going to be quick to forget how you've been treating Harry."

Hagrid grabbed me by my shirt and drug me floating, along behind him. As we went by a picture, it spoke to me.

"Are you new here at Hogwarts?"

"No, I don't belong here! I'm normal."

Hagrid just kept on walking and I could hear the picture hollering behind me,"What do you mean normal?"

Finally, Hagrid reached a doorway at the top of the stairs. I couldn't begin to count the stairs that it took to reach the nurse's office, maybe floating wasn't so bad.

"Go in." Hagrid said roughly.

"But she's a"

"But I'm a what?" asked Madame Pomfrey

"He's afraid of witches."chuckled Hagrid.

"Well, he should be afraid. If he's who I think he is, then he's in for more than a cure."

"Who do you think I am?"

"Harry's cousin, Dudley."

"Uh-oh. I, I can explain all those...."

"Come here. Hagrid, it is a billywig sting, right?."

"Yes, and hurry up 'cause Harry's got to be goin' mad wonderin' what's happened to me."

"Drink this, Dudley."

"No, I won't!"

Madame Pomfrey just glared at me.

"Fine, Hagrid hold him still while I pour it down his throat."

It was the worst stuff I had ever tasted! But I had to swallow. Almost immediately, I felt my feet sink toward the floor.

"Normally, I give students chocolate, but in this case you look like you've had enough," Madame Pomfrey huffed as she stalked away. That was ok with me, I'd had enough wizard chocolate to last a lifetime.

"Get moving Dudley, I'm going for Harry."

"It's ok Hagrid, I'm right here." Harry said as he stepped through the doorway.

Hagrid turned with a start. "Harry, how did you manage..."

"I'll fill you in later, Hagrid. Right now, let's deal with my dear cousin."

"What's wrong Dudley, you look like you've seen a ghost."

Dudley babbled in reply, "Harry, you don't know what they did to me. First, I was in a dark forest, then I was floating, then I meet a scary old man, this witch made me drink poison. But now you're here. You've got to save me."

"Dudley I'm not here to save you. I'm not sure anyone can save you. But we can send you back home."

Just then, the old man, Dumbledore, joined us. My heart sank as I heard him say, "Unfortunately, Dudley, you are going to be with us for a while. It is not safe to send you back just yet. While you are here, you can learn about the wizarding world and maybe you will come to appreciate and respect Harry a little more. But you will follow the rules, live in the dormitory and be fair to everyone. Right now it's only you and Harry, so there shouldn't be too many problems." And then he vanished.

Hagrid sighed and said, "C'mon, I'll take you to the Griffendor tower, although you don't deserve to be there, Dudley. Just remember, we'll all be watchin' how you act, and punishment will be the wizarding kind."
