Once things were perfect
Like a beautiful summer night
Spent gazing at stars
Watching evening starlings take flight
Memories I am still fond of
Even now with such hurt and pain
Memories I cherish, memories of love
Memories with messages to gain
Now things are going all too fast
But here, my son, is a memory that will last:
Once things were perfect
Like a beautiful summer night
Spent gazing at stars
Watching evening starlings take flight
After we are gone
Please do not forget
For we won't be there, we have not long
This one last memory, it is my gift:
Once things were perfect
Like a beautiful summer night
Spent gazing at stars
Watching evening starlings take flight
A/N: I was thinking of the poem being to Harry from Lily or James.
