Disclaimer: Warner Bros. And JK Rowling own Harry Potter. Sarah
Maclachlan
owns the song "Angel". Sorry if someone's already done this, but I
started
this fic awhile ago, and it got lost. If you already have done it, I
am
really sorry. Also, I want to thank my beta reader, Elanor Gamgee,
for
her help and patience.
Spend all your time waiting
For that second chance
For a break that would make it okay
As Hagrid took Harry to Dumbledore, he looked at the baby boy. "He
'as
a chance. Jus' what 'is parents would've wanted", Hagrid said to
himself.
There's always some reason to feel not good enough
And it's hard at the end of the day
I need some distraction, or a beautiful release
Memories seep from my veins
While he'd been in Azkaban, Sirius had never had one happy thought.
All
the happy memories were gone, and now all he could see was the
painful
ones. Losing his friends.... being taken to Azkaban...... seeing the
wrecked
house..... almost being expelled after that joke on Snape.......
Let me be empty, oh, and weightless and maybe
I'll find some peace tonight
Cho tried to put Cedric at the back of her mind. It had been 5
months,
she was now in her sixth year... she needed to go on.
In the arms of the Angel
Fly away from here
Sirius got on Buckbeak. "How can I ever thank..."
"GO!" Shouted Harry and the other girl... what was her name?
Mione?
Hermione?
He'd never been that good at names... he flew, promising to see
Harry
again. And he hoped he would.
From this dark cold hotel room
And the endlessness that you fear
A narrow escape. Again. It seemed Sirius's life was full of them.
The
first time, it had been harder, with all the Dementors.... now it
might
still be hard, but if Sirius kept thinking how he couldn't fail
James's
son, he might stay stronger.
You are pulled from the wreckage of your silent reverie
You're in the arms of the Angel

Hagrid and Harry rowed across the lake. Hagrid was glad he'd saved
Harry
from those terrible Muggles. He'd be happier at Hogwarts.
So tired of the straight life, that everywhere you turn
There's vultures and thieves at your back
Storm keeps on twisting
Harry wasn't sure he liked being "The Boy Who Lived." It seemed he
always
had to watch for danger- and now, everyone was at risk. You keep on
building
the lies that you make up for all that you lack. It don't make no
difference.
Cho told everyone she was over Cedric. But her roommates especially
knew
she wasn't. When she felt especially upset, she'd excuse it by
saying
"Oh, I just have a headache." Or something. She couldn't let
everyone
think she was a wimp...
Escape one last time
It's easier to believe
In this sweet madness, oh this glorious sadness
That brings me to my knees
Remus Lupin was looking at old pictures. He wasn't feeling all that
well-
it was a full moon tonight. He wasn't sure why he was looking at
them;
he just felt he should. Then he stumbled across a huge picture from
when
he was a boy. He saw Sirius, with his longer, black hair, James,
with
his short, messy hair, Lily, on the short side, with dark red hair,
Remus
himself, light brown hair, Arabella, short blonde hair, and
Pettigrew...
the traitor. Remus stared at them, and started to weep.

Cho and Harry had become closer.. it wasn't love, but it was
definitely
a sudden friendship. Harry sometimes felt embarrassed when he
realized
how he'd always had a crush on her... it wasn't there anymore,
though.
Harry didn't know if it was because of Cedric or because he'd
matured.
You're in the arms of the Angel
Cho, Harry, Ron and Hermione were coming back from Hagrid's. It
was
very dark by now. Cho looked at the sky, which was filled with
stars,
and smiled sadly.
"What's wrong?" Ron asked. Hermione glared at him, knowing it was
probably
about Cedric.
"Oh, it's just... Cedric and I used to look at the stars a lot. I
remembered
how he said that if anything happened to him, he'd send me a
message."
Cho frowned. "It's like he somehow knew..."
May you find
For a few minutes, they all stared at the sky. Cho felt herself
hold
onto Harry's hand. They looked at each other. Harry murmured to
himself
"Cedric, Mom, Dad, show us that everything's okay."
That second, a shooting star crossed the sky.
Some comfort here.
Sirius stared at the star; He'd just been thinking about James.
"James?"
The star seemed to go slower, and he could've sworn it blinked. An
hour
away, Remus Lupin, in his unfortunate Werewolf form, saw the exact
same
thing.
